Windhoek Motors(“we”, “us”, “our”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect through this website, why we collect it, and the choices you have. By using this site or submitting an enquiry you agree to the practices described here.
Information we collect
We only collect information you choose to give us through our forms, including:
- Contact details — your name, email address and phone number.
- Enquiry details — the vehicle you are interested in, your message and preferred contact method.
- Trade-in details — the make, model, year, mileage and condition of a vehicle you wish to sell or trade in, and whether it is financed.
- Finance details — the vehicle price, deposit, term and employment information needed to refer a finance application.
- Technical data — limited information such as the page you came from, collected automatically to operate the site (see our Cookie Policy).
We do not knowingly collect information from children, and we do not require you to create an account to browse our stock.
How we use your information
- To respond to your enquiries, quotes and trade-in or finance requests.
- To arrange test drives, vehicle sourcing and after-sales contact.
- To refer finance and insurance applications to the relevant institutions, with your consent.
- To keep records of our dealings with you and improve our service.
Sharing your information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only where necessary to provide the service you have requested — for example with banks, finance houses or insurers when you ask us to facilitate finance, and with the trusted service providers that host our website and deliver our email notifications. These providers are required to keep your information secure and to use it only on our instructions.
Storage and security
Your information is stored securely in our database, which is hosted by Supabase on infrastructure located in the European Union. We apply reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect it against loss, misuse and unauthorised access. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry and customer information for as long as needed to deal with your request and to meet our legitimate business and legal record-keeping needs, after which it is deleted or anonymised.
Your rights
You may ask us to access, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, or to stop contacting you, by emailing sales@whkmotors.com. This right is provided in line with the privacy protection afforded under Article 13 of the Namibian Constitution and good data-protection practice.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The current version is always available on this page with its effective date shown above.
